All 3,840,000,000 COPI tokens were minted on Ethereum (ERC-20) and then they were all immediately locked and ported (minted) on the Binance BNB Smart Chain BEP20.
The choice to move them to BNB was to enable lower transaction fees for token owners while being able to maintain maximum flexibility on the Ethereum network for the future.
On 24th March 2022 - 25,000,000 (twenty five million) COPI Tokens on the Binance BNB Smart Chain were burnt and then minted on the Cardano Network as Cardano Native Tokens, they were minted with the same Asset Name as BNB. As the original tokens are still locked on Ethereum the Total Supply remains the same.
On 24th November 2023, COPI Token liquidity was added to Uniswap effectively (re) launching the COPI on the Ethereum blockchain.
The COPI token has a fixed supply and is native to its original mint as an ERC-20 token. To maintain a fixed supply of tokens on other chains the COPI Token is Locked or Unlocked on Ethereum and Burned or Minted on other chains. This process is managed by Chainport and is fully audited.
